Kylie Jenner's Lip Transformation

The youngest member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan has recently come out and admitted to the world that her lips are in-fact "temporary lip fillers." While I'm sure the people who participated in the Kylie Jenner lip challenge would've appreciated this confession a little sooner, the world isn't exactly shocked. After the news broke, if you typed in Jenner's name into Twitter, you'd see people of all ages verbally attacking her by calling her "a Kartrashian whore" or claiming that "a 17 year old has no business getting work done." Most of these hateful comments coming from young girls and women, which is shocking considering the reawakening of feminism and woman trying to build each other up instead of the alternative.

Jenner says "It's a big insecurity of mine," which we can all relate to. Don't we all have them? Wouldn't we all fix them fix them if given the opportunity? So why would we attack this young woman for doing so? It's okay to express your opinion, but there's a fine line between that and being hateful. I love that she can walk around more confidently than before, and how dare society try to villainize that.

Was she too young? Perhaps. But we must also remember what city she's grown up in. Nearly everyone in Lala land has had work done. Her family included, so that had influence on her. If she were her older sisters age this wouldn't be a huge deal.

Some people point out the fact that she's a huge influence on young girls and women. This statement can't be denied. But maybe we shouldn't put the world on a seventeen year old shoulders. It's a parents job to raise their kids.

Perfection does not exist. Maybe having cameras shoved in your face your entire life doesn't teach you that. Perhaps tabloids picking you and your family apart doesn't teach you that. Perhaps being compared to your loved ones doesn't teach you that. It's time for humans to start loving each other for what they come into the world as. Then no one would try to change themselves.
